Improve the Windows 8 navigation.

The Logitech Wireless Mouse M560 is a comfort and productivity mouse aimed for mainstream power users, and to enhance features of the new Windows 8 navigation. The mouse provides a great choice with the world's longest life battery (18-months) and highly sculpted form handing, unlike competitors that require more frequent changing of batteries and score inferior in comfort.

A large challenge for this product was ensuring the ergonomics and ease of use matched the broad range of ability for such a varied user group. Keeping the device lightweight and minimizing the number of buttons were critical to end users. A focus was delivering a smooth and comfortable horizontal scrolling with an ambidextrous design.

With a product that must be used by the hand for hours at a time takes on a number of human factors considerations.  Making sure additional thumb buttons are easily pressed, individually, but without imposing any discomfort given the product's scale, was tested with various users. Considerations to the curvature of the body for palm rest & reduce hand strain, and depth of convex surface for optimum grip and better usability made subtlety of execution key.

Logitech is a brand that understands its customers need products and experiences that have an everyday place in peoples lives.
